Often when interviewing for a job, the interviewer will start off by saying, “Tell me a little about -yourself”. Here is a little about myself:
-Graduated from Barat of DePaul
-BA in Art Education, minor :graphic design
-currently earning Masters in Curriculum and Instruction
-bilingual spanish
-have 3 beautiful girls that keep me on my toes
-my interest is in teaching art at all levels. I believe that art is a perfect area to show students that learning happens everywhere and it is an ideal subject for combining the skills of all disciplines to help lead students to success.
-I also love to teach older students as well. Currently I am teaching many grades, kindergarten through 5th grade, and its very rewarding.
- I am interested in highlighting student artwork through internet resources such as this site and Vernon Hills public library
-Whenever and wherever I can, I try to show students connections between math, science, social studies, language arts, and history. In fact, many of the lessons you will find on my site draw these kinds of connections.
-In my free time I enjoy painting, pottery, designing shirts for customers, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, snowboarding, basketball, cooking, traveling and of course spending as much time with daughters.
*** I also teach private art classes (pottery, oils, acrylics, water color and pencil). Send me an email.****
